Inia, one of the cats that was abandoned the other week with her family, has died. With the five cats just left there, the colony was in utter chaos. Inia was pregnant and very ill. We had to feed her through a tube because she couldn’t eat due to the stress caused by being abandoned, her pregnancy and her illness. She fought, and fought….we desperately hoped that she would pull through and she seemed to get a little better, but it wasn’t meant to be. Her little body, without going into too many details, gave up due to all the stress. I hope that the “person” (in many inverted commas) that abandoned her reads this, because I’m sure that you’re following us.
We want you to know that we cried over her death, that Inia (as we knew her) occupies a little place in the heart of every volunteer that fought for her and continues to fight for the others. That Inia didn’t die alone and that she didn’t suffer….that she went surrounded with love and not by the heartless son of a b***h that abandoned her. Inia has gone to the other side, and she’s taken our love and final caress with her, NOT YOURS!
